The 2013 Taurasi Feudi Studi Candriano is a plump, full-bodied red wine with a first line of dark fruit followed by campfire ash, licorice, spice and sweet tobacco. The intensity of each of those aromas is played up with precision and balanced intensity. You get a great sense of wholeness and balance here despite the evident power and determination of this single-vineyard Aglianico. This wine ages in barrique for up to 20 months. Only 2,000 bottles were produced.
