J.J. Confuron Clos Vougeot 2002

Tasting note: Aromatically elegant and quite pure with plenty of complexity to the dark pinot fruit aromas that lead to big yet fine and intense, relatively powerful flavors that are entirely serious. This is quite rich with much more sophisticated tannins than is typical for young Clos de Vougeot and this is really quite an impressive effort and sufficiently approachable that it could be drunk now with the right food.
