Burghound
A notably ripe nose features airy and nicely complex black fruits with rich and relatively large-scaled flavors that manage to retain a solid sense of elegance on the delicious and ever-so-slightly edgy finish. This is still fresh but no longer bright as the acidity is relatively low and this is now drinking well though it should hold at this level for at least another decade. This is really quite lovely and the elegant Drouhin style works to good effect in a vintage like ’97. Consistent notes.
